The Academy of Culinary Arts Cambodia (ACAC) is a hospitality training institution that offers its students an internationally recognized higher diploma/associate degree in the culinary arts. The Academy provides instruction in Khmer and English to students who have completed secondary schooling.
Our vision and mission is to train Cambodian youth to be competent, skilled ,and professional players in the hospitality sector. By exposing our students to a wide range of hospitality courses, and through theoretical and practical instruction, regular internships, and on-the-job training in partner restaurants and hotels, we help each student manage change and prepare for real-life challenges in the workplace.
The ACAC is the first culinary academy in Cambodia with an international hospitality curriculum that aligns with ASEAN standards and a Swiss work ethos. As the country’s first Public-Private Partnership, key stakeholders from government and the private sector have come together to address the shortage of educated and skilled employees in the hospitality sector and to forge new opportunities for youth skills development and unemployment reduction through the Academy in Cambodia and throughout the region.
The Academy offers a two-year diploma in culinary arts, accredited through the Swiss Hotel Management Academy Lucerne (SHL). Instruction is in English with Khmer translation. The curriculum exposes students to a comprehensive range of courses covering the interconnected areas of the culinary industry. We combine theoretical and practical study, craft-based learning and internships in recognized hotels, restaurants and related institutions. Students’ intellectual abilities are also developed through the general education component of the diploma program. The Academy ensures that its graduating students possess valuable transferable skills, such as discipline, respect for all, truthfulness, adaptability, the spirit to accomplish, and motivation for lifelong learning. The Academy provides education to students of any race, nationality, sex, color, religion or belief who have completed a high school school program.

1. International recognized higher diploma/associate degree
The Academy of Culinary Arts Cambodia is the first institution in the country to offer internationally recognized certification in the culinary arts. The Swiss Hotel Management School, Lucerne (SHL) is the Academy’s technical training partner, and brings over 100 years of experience in hospitality training. The admission standards, curriculum, academic regulations and operations are controlled and administrated by SHL to guarantee that our graduating students are equipped with an internationally recognized education and technical skills needed to execute their career in the hospitality industry.

Through its affiliation with the Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne (SHL) the Academy’s curriculum was developed in close collaboration with SHL, ensuring that Swiss standards for culinary and hospitality education are followed. The diploma gained by successful graduated students is acknowledged by SHL.
The Academy’s curriculum is accredited by the ASEAN Secretariat through the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism. The Academy’s diploma is recognized throughout all member states of ASEAN, and allows graduated students to seek employment opportunities abroad.
