The Swedish Development Agency (Sida) has contributed to the ACAC’s establishment as a major donor and over the years, the Academy has had the privilege of hosting Mrs Sargren and Sida’s director and staff. With much patience and great professional support, Sida has assisted the development of the Academy.

Sweden’s involvement in Cambodian development aid runs all the way back to 1979, the year the Khmer Rouge were ousted. One key area of Swedish support is education, a prerequisite for sustainable development.
